  2. Brumstix Link

Regina took off the Brumstix Forum link section off of her website... strange. Anyone else notice this?
  3. Carbon Monoxide

I love this song, to me it reminds me of my teenager times, when I'd spent hours everyday in bed with my girlfriend. Life seemed a paradise then, a constant paradise. And I think we both felt on top of the world... We were students, hadn't jobs to keep, felt the coolest in the world, like we were living the dream that everyone wanted to live. No one would notice if we were gone (died) because we were so much into one another, it's really like the rest of the world was part of the landscape... The "come on daddy"... that was the whole of the day... because I mean, we lived to be with each other, to kiss and so on... even when we were in classes or doing homework we'd be thinking of the moment when we'd be together again... "Carbon monoxide" because, as beautiful as it was, it's a kind of dying to the world. I don't know if it's good or bad, but it's a life that, doesn't really produce anything except a lot of pleasurable love and sensations. So I guess, from the point of view of someone who actually wants to succeed in society, it would be a bad thing. A kind of carbon monoxide (poison that doesn't feel like poison, only makes you sleepy / inattentive.) And, also, if you're not rich, it'll probably stop working when you have to start paying the bills. But I guess the strongest interpretation is that it kills you to everything and everybody else, because the only thing in the world is that person, that room, that bed, that love, that immense, gorgeous, gleeful love dancing in our eyes.
  4. Fleur de poésie. ( last version )

I'm not sure if this forum is very active anymore, but I thought I'd share a recent live version of 8th floor! It was uploaded last year but I only noticed it now so it's news to me! To think years ago if I found out Regina would revisit this song... I'd be over the moon.
  9. Lightness. ( last version )

Lightness. ( other version ) Suddenly and in a profound silence a consistent snow covers the sadness of an intense emotion and there, in the light of your eyes, a delicate smile discovers the faith... Francesco Sinibaldi Lightness. ( third version ) Suddenly and with a profound silence the consistent snow covers the sadness of an intense emotion while the landscape is starting to whiten and there, in the light of your eyes, a delicate smile discovers the faith... Francesco Sinibaldi Lightness. ( last version ) With the strength of a magic recall suddenly, and in a profound silence, the consistent snow covers the sadness of an intense emotion while the landscape is starting to whiten and there, in the light of your eyes, a delicate smile discovers the faith... 10. Anyone here? Happy, healthy and honest 2020 to everyone! Saw Bombshell last week and noticed a warm recognition coming over me at the credits and realized it's Regina singing. The new song has defining Regina touches, but as so often it is again unique. Personally love the drums/synth drop giving it a fat electro vibe and Regina wailing the chorus! I liked the movie too. It might've flown over the radar for the mixed reviews it got and I'm sure that in current USA the Trump references did not help. But a story like this is not even political, it can happen anywhere when power abuse runs free. Besides, it has astounding acting all around and a nuanced script. And as for Regina satirizing: "doesn't even matter what you say", to me it'll always matter if you say it right like this song. Here's some words on the song too: https://northerntransmissions.com/regina-spektor-releases-one-little-soldier/
  11. La dulzura del sueño. ( last version )

( last version )
