  1. I'll remember this for life

I'm new to this sight, so I just want to make a shout out to all of you Regina fans. I am one of you and am so happy to have found a sight where fans as passionate as us can communicate. I am so thankful that I get to read your opinions and reflections on this wonderful, talented, and brilliant artist's music. I can't wait to hear more from you guys! Unfortunately I only discovered Regina Spektor about 2 years ago. I am completely obsessed. Her music never gets old to me and I am always discovering new songs. Back in 2016 I had the opportunity to go to her Remember Us to Life Tour opening concert in LA. I have been to many great concerts, but this will always be my favorite. I wasn't close to the stage and tickets were extremely pricey, but I can say confidently that it was worth every penny. I will always remember that night. She is such an amazing artist and her music makes me smile, makes me cry, makes me believe, allows me to reflect, and inspires me to dream. I have always felt drawn towards music, but it wasn't until I discovered Regina Spektor that I realized how much I actually love music. I have recently decided to minor in music and it is one of the best decisions I've ever made. Now that I have moved away for college it is harder for me to find a way to go to her concerts, but if she goes on tour again, I will do whatever I can to get the opportunity to witness her magic again. Until then, I'll continue listening to her recordings and continue to annoy my friends with my obsession. I look forward to chatting with all of you and expressing love and appreciation that this queen deserves!
  2. Consequence of Sounds

I love this song so much!!! I love how it talks about silence. In a world, and especially a country, as busy and ambitious as ours, it is so important to take a few minutes to sit in silence and reflect on important issues like propaganda and environmental issues. It is also extremely important to reflect on the issues going on in our personal lives. This is a very hard thing to do in a world filled with constant stimulation, especially through sound. I especially love the line: "...but we keep the sound on cause silence is harder. No one's the killer and no one's the martyr..." Silence is harder. Nobody wakes up and is like, I'm excited to reflect on depressing issues. It is so much easier to ignore our troubles, but they can only get better if we acknowledge them and stand up to them.
