I just love that song - i love them all actually!! She is just wonderful.

quote: Originally posted by good > perfect: i think you are taking be like a cloud's analogy too literally. obviously we aren't ACTUALLY bacteria. he/she/whatever is trying to say our species mimics their behavior in certain ways. i don't know if i agree, but i can see what they are saying. on a side note, i still think you mean virus as opposed to bacteria. multiplying in a certain place until the only option left is to spread. bacteria just kind of hang out...they come to an equilibrium with their surroundings. we don't do that. Good >perfect... first of all.. i didnt get that theory from the matrix... but, when you mentioned it - i thought it was pretty funny how similar they were... my friend actually told me that theory, and when we talked about it... i thought it could actually be true, haha... but i have MANY theories of what could be.. just like lots of people do... BTW - thank you for not taking what i said too literally... your awesome =]

I would say that is more of an exception... or at least less likely. I think that people who view themselves as part of a whole (rather than as a singular individual) would have a better time getting things accomplished... learning to work in groups, understanding that personal failure can lead to success for a larger group of people, realizing that you're not the only person on earth, dealing with consequences larger than your own... all of these things can come from seeing the world as bigger than yourself. Of course there are groups (extremists in religions, for example) that take these concepts too far, but i think on the whole, being a small part of something better is a rewarding, humbling experience. I like what you said, and how you said it... here's a quote you kinda reminded me of... =] “We don’t have to engage in grand, heroic actions to participate in the process of change. 6. Recommend a book here...

i have not read this entire thread yet, so i'm not sure if this book has already been recommended... "The Secret Life of Water" by - Masaru Emoto This book is deep... i highly recommend it... It's not a very long book and it's amazing. “The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go.” -Dr. Seuss
  7. LAUGHING WITH GOD

How about "to each there own"... i'm sorry that i offended you.. i was just throwing my opinion out there, just like regina does... it may not be what regina would like to hear or say herself, but its an OPINION... I feel that you are missing the point of what im trying to say... It was not meant to degrade our species.. its just the honest way i feel... we are only human.. we havent even been around as long as the earth... the earth has its own system that we can try to understand, but in reality, we will probably never know anything "for sure"... we live, love, learn, reproduce, & die... science changes all the time.. just like how they found a new element for the periodic table... maybe you could just call some of us part of an "advanced" bacteria... oh yeah.. and about sending people to the moon... my opinion of that is... we as a bacteria have been infecting the earth so long, it was only a matter of time that we started to infect the planets around us... "to each there own" - which i said already... i know that my theory probably is not how it actually is... but, i also know that no one elses theory prob is either...
  8. LAUGHING WITH GOD

This is just my opinion… Organized religion is no doubt confusing! But, for a lot of people, I think having a church to pray at and a god to watch over us, is much easier then thinking about what else could be out there… its less scary… There is only so much that our small human minds can comprehend… so, there is no way of telling what else is out there.. I guess that by itself is a little hard for some to grasp… people want to feel like they are here for a purpose and that THIS isn’t the end.. im guessing that religion helps people with this… I for one, think this is our purpose… •I think we are a bunch of bacteria growing on the earth… we have been infesting her for some time now… and we just keep reproducing, it’s all we know… & as for what happens next, ill just wait and see… Btw… I have never been a religious person.. my family didn’t raise me to be... So sorry if anyone takes offence to wat I said. I don’t like to share cups with strangers either!!!! ***a response to the first post***

  11. Ne Me Quitte Pas

Hey loves, this is my first post, but to be honest, i have been reading for a while now.. I was wondering.. does anyone have a good recording of Ne Me Quitte Pas? I have a good one, but i would really like to have a better recording of it - it's one of my favorites at the moment.. my favorites are always changing... her music always seems to hit me in different ways depending on my mood "... I am braiding records into my hair, needles and record players, everything’s a possible record cover, or a possible name for a band that.. I will never have… cause I sing my songs all by myself, all to myself, by myself, I am cute but I’m not in a band, where’s my band? where’s my band? where’s my amplifiers? so why don’t I just sleep in the middle of this kitchen? surrounded by forks and a linoleum floor. I am drunk and there’s no one here to stop me from being so tired and sleeping with my mascara on..."
