The forum seems to have come to a screeching hault as of late. If there is another repeat day of no posts I'll use this thread as a way to save the forum from a day which would otherwise lack wholesome posting goodness. Later peeps Shawn

  6. regina performs on BBC4 tonight!

Sorry for the belated post. 7. regina performs on BBC4 tonight!

It will be posted tomorrow peeps. Hope all is well with everyone. I've been reading all the wonderful joyous accounts of Regina performing in the U.K. and Scandinavia..... good stuff. Later Days Shawn P.S. Don't fall asleep with your lower torso hanging off the bed. Around hour 3 of sleep you'll wake up a half an inch taller, but with sandpaper knees. Random... but it needed to be said.

It can be easy to love these first borns for what they are and what they always will be, but even a single mother yearns for something more. This amazing joy wells up with each one that is brought forth and matures further with the love that comes from touched people. Family can understand to an extent...... What we share with a person that was once a stranger and is now so dear brings so much more. People who at one time were not known can envelop you in such an intense warmth it can be scary. To some it's better to just keep an assortment of friends at the ends of your fingertips. There's too much now, there will more even later, why try to keep it up? "I'll Stand by You" meant hardly anything at one point, but know it can reduce this person to tears. Not sure why.... at times I can faintly recollect something.... do I need to know why.... should I need to know? Questions are always what tend to make their presence known in my mind..... everything internalizes itself in "what ifs" and "whys". Things need an explantions without loose ends. This way of thinking came from my father, he never dared to answer though. Where does this other person's fingertip-way of living come from? Hard to beleive is the fact that all people wander through something like this. It seems all too personal to be universal. All too unique in my mind's eye to be felt by others. Well, at least by more than one other.

We try to etch it in the best we can.... rarely though do the ones that meant the most show through and become fully recognized. Indelible ink should suffice..... it doesn’t. Was the message strong enough even though it only reached one? Even if that one is yourself? My mood makes no reason and without approaching death a situation of gloom and stagnation have hindered it well. This story is not at its end, but one very close... and it seems to have proved to be as sorrowful. There’s more to each one than can ever be said, or understood. The abstract, the meaningful, the thrown away scribbles. Much importance is weighed heavily against the minor. The minor points lifted higher tend to shape it all it seems. The faint memory of yourself that rarely makes an appearance/ her image that cannot be driven from your mornings first thought.
  10. Dresden Dolls Paradise DVD

I was just watching the documentary "A Life in the Day of the Dresden Dolls" on their DVD and noticed Amanda is wearing a Regina t-shirt at the beginning. Cool stuff peeps- Later Days Shawn

  12. Happy Thanksgiving World!

For all those fortunate people who are surrounded by family, or by those who inspire and love us just the same, and those far from home.... happy Thanksgiving. I hope this time makes you realize there doesn't have to be one day of the year, but possibly too many to count. Hey Don Q, I see you signed in every-so-often, but rarely see a post. Don't be a stranger! Q. What are the names of Regina's super cool SUNY friends that recently performed with her at Irving Plaza? There have been other shows, but this is the most recent. Later ma peeps Shawn

Porcupine-ology, antler-ology, car-ology, bus-ology, train-ology, mee-ology, you-ology, kiss-ology, forgive-me-ology, stay-ology, please-ology, love-ology,... my brain has gone kapootski. That's all I can manage in my sleep deprived state. I was up all night watching the 5 hour BBC miniseries Pride and Predjudice. As for Mr. Zimmerman's stage name.... I haven't yet gotten his biography. I discovered the greatness that is Bob Dylan just recently. Along with Mr. Bowie and his album Hunky Dory. There's an ode to Mr. Zimmerman in there! I wish I could attest to knowing this. Of the two regular shows I've seen her at one was in San Francisco (she was nervous), and the last one I missed a great deal of. My best guess would be Robert Zimmerman (aka Bob Dylan). Hope the cubicle isn't too cramped. I'm working for a video game retailer's call center and the holiday season is about to crush me. Right now I'm a 5am to 4pm-er. Remember to not get too settled David. We still need to become roadies for her next tour and learn to carry yoga mats, trampolines, and monster keyboards in the most artful of ways. Later peeps who are stuck in a desk job Shawn

  25. .

Here I am again.... seemingly posting to a thread in which I'm ranting with an unseen poster. Felt I should post once more if this thread is going to die. Art is everywhere, no matter how mundane something is.... it can be art. My water cooler acrobatics that occur during the placement of a new water tank have been my most recent expression. That was about ten minutes ago. Currently it’s the manner in which I'm maneuvering between a flood of calls in a walled in enclosure (my cubicle) and my ongoing attempt to form this post. This sentence is currently being formed while talking to an employee in another state. Life for many is monotony in an overwhelming abundance. You just have to find something artistic in all you do. That's what I do myself. Not trying to preach some "art doctrine". It’s my way to enrich an existence until a niche is found or has found me. Calls are slow now...... boredom could set in. I've started a chain of Red Vines to use as a straw. Nagh.... they're starting to dissolve in my water. A book looms near. Just had a 20-minute call --- lost my train of thought, which has been derailed too many times throughout this post. My streaming consciousness has lessened in bandwidth. Perhaps this is goodbye dear thread. And perhaps I've overused perhaps in my recent bag of words. The king of Azaz would be sad at my neglectful tendencies in not using other words.
