  1. Cheap seats my arse

Have to agree with this post. Nearly £40 for a ticket is crazy money. And way way more expensive that what I paid to see Regina in NYC (in similar venues). So not sure why there is a price disparity given the relative cost of the two cities. So not only do you pay a very high amount, it is in a venue that completely kills the atmosphere Radio City Hall and Beacon shows were good, but you could hear a pin drop sometimes. People were dancing uncomfortable in the aisles. Compare that to the Hyde Park show (which was standing and a bit more intimate) it was a great atmosphere.

I don't think I paid more than $30 for a ticket in nyc. I understand royal albert hall is an expensive venue, but in that case, pick a cheaper venue. It will probably be a better atmosphere anyway. edit: just changed them to stall g now!
  3. European Tour

still nothing for the london show. I very much hope it isn't £40 for a ticket. That would be outrageous given I never paid $70-80 equivalent to see Regina in NYC.
  4. "Night of Hunters" leaks...

Long long time Tori fan here, Nautical Twilight is excellent, a return to Under the Pink style music
  5. post your favorite photos of regina

That blue-suited bulge is memorising for all the wrong reasons

But, here are the vids to make up for it: So yeah, that's pretty much everything she performed. I'll upload Jack's vids probably tomorrow. It was great seeing you guys tonight and of course, all those who couldn't make it, we know you were all there in spirit. I think you were just in front of me judging by the camera position. I also think you were right next to me for the Lincoln screening if that is the case!
  7. DVD Screenings

Yes, I was disappointed there was no Q&A. But the whole thing was very surreal. Regina was just to my left in the row in front. So simultaneously watching her on screen whilst watching her watching herself. All rather odd. In a good way
  8. Record Store show

1 am? Are you people serious? That is 9 hours + waiting for the store to even open.
  9. That show was emotional, really good night though and good to see the familiar faces
  10. RIP Dan Cho

This is horrible news, he always got a good cheer from the audience and seemed a sweet unassuming person. The Far tour line-up seemed to fit perfectly. A sad loss for music.
  11. Regina drummer

Matt Chamberlain is a legendary legendary drummer. Been listening to his stuff for about 15 years now.
  12. Benefit for Haiti on March 23, 2010

I am going to have to break away from the common ground / view, Hallelujah was good and I liked the string arrangements and Regina made it her own and did a good job, but Jeff Buckley truly owns that song (even more than Cohen himself, and other covers - John Cale, Rufas Wainwright etc) It was a great unique show. I felt the special guest kind of interrupted the flow of Regina's set though. It would of been good for them to do their solo sets before Regina. Shara blew me away.
  13. Benefit for Haiti on March 23, 2010

add in Samson at the end
  14. Benefit for Haiti on March 23, 2010

are you people serious? Getting there 7+ hours early for a show you already have tickets for? Madness! Espeically in weather like this. It is a medium sized venue also. So plenty of room for everyone, but with good views from all angles.
  15. Benefit for Haiti on March 23, 2010

I would go with venue size. She can easily sell that out 6 times over, so I guess 1,000 classes as intimate. Plus, the smaller venue, the closer the stage. However, it is probably not the version of 'intimate' I would prefer .... probably best not go down that route.

Is this venue seating or general admission? If the later, then I can relax
  18. Benefit for Haiti on March 23, 2010

Tickets aren't on sale yet it seems
  19. Tibet House US Benefit Concert - Carnegie Hall February 26, 2010

3 songs, in this order 1) Apres Moi - solo 2) The Sword and the Pen 3) Laughing with - (with the patti smith band and string quartet) Laughing with was really good, with acoustic guitar
  20. Tibet House US Benefit Concert - Carnegie Hall February 26, 2010

I will be there tonight, looking forward to Regina, not so keen on the other artists, but it is an experience nonetheless. If anyone remembers me from previous Regina events feel free to say hi. Fingers crossed for more than 3 songs.
  21. Tibet House US Benefit Concert - Carnegie Hall February 26, 2010

Just got a ticket but starting to regret it after reading up on it. Seems like each artist only plays 2-4 songs max. The other artists scheduled to play aren't to my liking, so at nearly $100 it doesn't seem like money well spent.

  23. Spare front row ticket to Radio City NYC tonight

Hi all I have a spare ticket to Regina Spektor tonight, Radio City Music Hall, New York City. It will be either front of normal rows or front of the pit (depending on which one I take). Face value. Let me know.
