i read a Reg interview that said her least favourite comparison was with Tori. We've been through this before on this forum, I know, but your allegiance to Tori needn't be weakened by your love for Reg. The two aren't mutually exclusive, y'know! and as for Fiona Apple et al, don't let the fact they're women allow you to lump them in with Reg. I wouldn't put Reg and the Apple in the same sentence!

to quote the budget girls 'i love you i love you i love you i do, but don't get excited - i love monkeys too!' on the basis of yr last marvellous bootleg, i had all but promised my crew of four who accompanied me from el midlands to the big smoke a similar recording of islington. and now it will be mine, moo ahahahahaha. i will email you tomorrow. p.s. i am spiderplant reborn

i actually get close to tears as early as 'i had a dream'..hell, the way she pronounces 'barbara' does it for me, and you can't say that about just anyone x

in true nme stylee, this post hopes to obtain the funniest, stupidest and most goddamn obscure mishearings in the divine, but often bizzare world of regina lyrics. i'll start us off, as i have no shame..... lyrics are 'not much hair left on his head' in 'samson'. i heard (for weeks too) 'numbed a chair-lift on his head'. the thing is, samson being knocked out by a stannah is not completely improbable in regworld. also, because of her intonation, i STILL hear 'your mama was huge' rather than 'here' in 'prisoners'. that puts me in mind of all those fat mother jokes, y'know, 'your mother's so fat when she turns 'round it's her birthday again'. ho. please add to this treasury of foolishness!

a friend gave me the nellie mckay cd when i saw her mon for my birthday - i opened it early as i can't hold back on cd shaped packages! so i had nellie and reggie on the same day - bliss!

eloquent and energetic - you can tell you loved the gig, as did we all! i especially liked yr noting of her 'geniune humbleness' - that was what really struck me abou the night and endeared reg to me even more. you can't imagine bono being starstruck by his fans now, can you?
