  1. London Show 16/02/07

boy, and I remember when this here little forum had a few hundred members and all of us knew one another and SURELY conversations didn't get so heated... then again, back then, none of us had anything to argue about...
  2. NYU show 10/6

was gonna come but not so after all...enjoy the show. sorry im gonna miss you again, keithy. maybe you can catch up with srg, he'll no doubt be there if he's out of work!
  3. Rockland Country Demo

This is definitely a rarity...I've never heard it, but I like it...it's adorable, and very Regina. Where'd this come from?
  4. Morning Sedition 9/14/05

Obnoxious? Maybe...But I really liked them, and I thought it was a good thing for Regina to be on a show like this, with the hosts sort of 'roughing her up', for lack of a better turn, infusing things with a bit of humor...it seemed like she was really comfortable and much more in her element than the other interviews she usually does on radio that are stuffy and by the book. Thank GOD these people didn't study her bio word for word, it made the interview that much more enjoyable for me, I think. This was one of my favorite she's done since the release of the album, I think. Thanks for putting this up, Srg. (Also, I'll be emailing you soon)
  5. Cant Make it to Irving :(

I'm glad everyone had a good time-- another show I didn't go to, but it's sweet that you were watching out for me in case I showed up, Srg and David...It was a combination of lack of planning and sheer laziness..I have yet to even go pick up my CMJ pass! But the recording will be nice to listen to somewhere down the road... I'd like to hear "Hallelujah" especially (huge Cohen fan from way back); the 'Chelsea Hotel No. 2' cover is nice..
  6. For those of you who missed Regina on WNYC's Soundcheck yesterday, September 13, I uploaded an .mp3 of Regina's segment. Please DO NOT stream, but right click and download to your own computer before listening. She even sings Cohen's "Chelsea Hotel No.2" on the program. Regina Spektor on WNYC'S Soundcheck, 9-13-05

Srg, what you said is pretty accurate. You can always be counted on! Re: the in-depth story of the demos, let sleeping dogs lie-- at least they're out there
  9. Regina Dance remix on myspace

off the chain, eh? I haven't heard these remixes, but it kind of scares me. Techno Regina? Eep!
  10. DOWNLOAD Regina 2005-08-23 Edinburgh w/Amanda Palmer

It's a great show. I got it in under an hour, and it sounds great. I am also on a Mac (the only way to live!) and I use MacAmpLight to play the .flac files, but that's just because I've been too lazy as of yet to get a conversion program...I may transfer to .aiff, but not .mp3, it would probably completely ruin the quality. I was surprised I got in on dimeadozen...they usually have really great shows by a lot of other artists that I listen to and it's usually all full, but I finally got an account. It's good stuff. As for "new songs", there was only one that I hadn't heard before/that doesn't sound familiar. Somebody will probably transcribe it later, I'm sure.

'Rooks indeed. It's cool, Keith. I don't even have to pay for transportation and I'm not going, so I feel you. Hee, start the Regina Spektor Concert Collection Fund so that people can afford the tickets!
  13. 92nd St Y - Sep. 13

I'll wait for the bootleg. C'mon Keith
  14. ooo regina spektor at Irving plaza

The CMJ site doesn't list Regina as a part of the marathon, so it's probably her own show. Ignore my misinformation in my earlier post... So it should just be a normal show, which is better, I think... On another note, the best way to get into CMJ without paying that crap rate is to volunteer, or be clever enough to keep a music blog or something and try to pull off being a "member of the press",

RSVP'ing for Srg and I...We'll be there with drinks in hand, for sure... Also, this is a CMJ show from what I've been told, so there are likely to be 3 or 4 other artists on the roster and Regina may or may not be the last act.
