rainna- Don't be so hard on yourself. And certainly don't force anything. When the time is right everything will fall in to place. I understand you feel out of place by not having been in a relationship yet. But in the realm of things you really have so much more life ahead of you. When you look back later this will seem like a small blip...believe me. As far as telling someone they are your first boyfriend, if he is the right person he will be just fine with it. If he isn't fine with it, then he isn't the one and you can say bye bye! 20 is young. You are at a major crossroad though. Be patient ( I know it's hard ) and good things will happen to you because you are a good person. This I can promise you. and the more I think about it...there is no written rule that says you MUST say "you are my first"...

BUMP...want to be sure ILWB saw this. I found more concrete info: quote: Committed to equality of opportunity, Princeton admits students without regard to their financial circumstances. This policy applies to both domestic and international applicants. We provide grants and campus jobs to meet the full demonstrated financial need of all students offered admission. Our groundbreaking no-loan financial aid program makes it possible for students to graduate from Princeton with little or no debt. Sixty percent of Princeton undergraduates receive aid. Careful consideration is given to each family’s financial circumstances as presented in Princeton’s free online aid application. The amounts parents are expected to contribute toward the cost of attendance vary according to their resources. Families with lower incomes are asked to make relatively small contributions, in some cases zero, and receive the largest grants. Middle- and higher-income families will pay more toward Princeton’s costs; however, they still benefit from grants based on their individual level of need. Students also meet a portion of their college expenses through summer and term-time earnings; no student is required to take a loan to pay Princeton’s costs. Individual need-based grants awarded by the University range from $5,000 to more than $50,000. Princeton expects to award grants totaling nearly $110 million to more than 3,100 undergraduates in 2011-12. Source: http://www.princeton.edu/admission/whatsdistinctive/

I am not, I have hurt myself bad enough already and I'm not willing to go through that pattern again. I'll never have myself a real relationship if I keep on like this. rainna - it sounds like you're half way home. Realizing what the issue is, is huge. Now you need to decide how you're going to defeat it.
  13. Amy Winehouse

You know, whenever this happens, and unfortunately it does all too often, I always think, why didn't someone take that person and hold on to them and prevent them from destroying them self. Then I realize, you can't help someone that doesn't want help. If a person is not open to receiving help you are just spinning your wheels. It's obvious that her parents have been trying for quite a while. If you don't respond to your parents efforts then I don't think there's much hope of getting past whatever demons haunt you. Another terrible and tragic loss. A talented and valuable life snuffed out much too early...very sad.
  14. The tragedy in Norway

Man's inhumanity to man...It just kills a little something inside each time. This did immediately dredge up thoughts of that horrible day, September 11, 2001, when one could not conceive of such inhumanity. I am numb and at a loss for words other than to extend my thoughts and empathy to all...

Saw Elvis Costello at the Beacon last week. Awesome show. It was like a game show. He had a huge wheel with many of his songs on it. They would bring people up from the audience to spin the wheel and then he would play the song the wheel landed on. He told us about a proposal that was done at a prior show. I found it on youtube and it's pretty cool. Check it out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?f...bedded&v=QFheL6i0lpQ
