  1. pardon me, buuuut...

fair enough, i would expect as much.
  2. Does anybody else...

My Favourite Song, havent seen her play it live yet, but i hope to some day.
  3. pardon me, buuuut...

i agree with what you guys are saying, i dont know whether it's a good idea for people wishing to connect with the bands/singers that they like the music of, many bands wish to keep their private lives private and find it hard for them to do so. it CAN hurt fans when they cant become friends with those people, because ultimately its unhealthy for them to do so. im friends with a couple of my favourite bands, but only due to living in the same city and seeing them all the time reasons.
  4. The Unofficial Lyrics Thread

Some other songs, i dont think we have in the offical lyrics post, although as songs go by many titles, i cannot be sure

  9. Regina Interview From The Recent UK Tour

Wow, there are other fans of regina in norfolk.
  10. Regina Interview From The Recent UK Tour

cool, it was really nice meeting Regina
  11. Regina Spektor is a spectacular although not especially well known 24 year old singer songwriter from New York. You may well have heard of her before as she has received a lot of press since her stints on tour with The Strokes and Kings of Leon. But no-one has really seen that Regina does not need any of their support, because she genuinely out does those bands with the release of her third, but officially debut album Soviet Kitsch. One of Lack of Communications favourite albums of the year, with its sobering honesty and humour often in the same verse and lyrics like break me to small parts, let go in small doses, in the tragically beautiful opener Ode to Divorce. Soviet Kitsch doesnt sound produced and thats the pleasure in listening to it, it sounds like Regina is singing right at you, a rarity in singers these days, with one eye on the audience and another on the bank balance. But there is something different about her, I doubt she wants to be hero, just a friend to people who care and feel. At The Show the night before our interview, she was shocked at the amazing response from the crowd, asking them You guys are crazy What did they give you? For the next fifty minutes she strums on a guitar, plays the piano and hits a chair (the best one ever, that she stole from Manchester) with a drumstick for Poor little rich boy. Sound peculiar, you got to see Regina Spektor.

  13. and what about blighty?

I bought it in a local record shop last week. It should be out in the stores this Monday gone. Look in independent places, depends on where u live i guess.
  14. Yeah i'd like to see her with Adam Green and Kimya Dawson, obviously something that we havent seen over here. Ben Kweller would be good as well, and people like Bright Eyes, Death Cab e.t.c. because their music would work as a comparison in terms of storytelling. Their kind of out of the blue unordinary styles and Regina's silmilar but sometimes tongue in cheek stories in her songs. Then again i'm sure she'd work well with some real random bands like Yeah Yeah Yeahs, They toured with Enterance over here and he was great. I think Regina would work with anyone.
  15. You summed up my feelings about the complete works exactly, i'll try and get songs from CD Baby. Where can you get stuff that has never been put on to CD like Demos and stuff, that would be good. I'd just rather pay for the albums because it's better to support people like Regina, then big record companies, so i'm willing to shell out cash for the albums.
