  1. Touring New York (Regina Style)?

    Thanks a lot!
  2. Touring New York (Regina Style)?

So, this summer, I'm probably going to be visiting New York. (And I wish I could plan it around a Regina show there, but she's playing festivals this summer.) I wanted to approach exploring New York like Regina did when she explored Europe in "Düsseldorf" i.e. in Düsseldorf I met a clown, his nose it was red - In Times square I saw a little black cat cross the street in front of a fast cab (Lucky Penny reference). Sorry if this is gibberish, but this idea just came to me and I don't want to forget it.) Could you guys help me think of Regina lyrics that would describe people, places, things, etc to do in New York? Thanks a lot

  4. The I've Never Seen a Regina Show Club

I am a part of this club. Although, I blame myself because I have had two chances to see Regina. She came to Nashville, and she's going to Bonnaroo, but sadly I cannot drive, and wouldn't be allowed to go Bonnaroo anyway.. but maybe by joining this club some miraculous event will happen like she will schedule a show in my driveway..I can dream right? (I saw the news on Portugal, congratulations )
  5. Oh, Marcello!

Oh, Marcello, how I wonder The madonna, she tell the truth, no? She been saying, Ill have a baby When he grow up he become a killer Im just a soul whose intentions are good Oh lord, please dont let me be misunderstood Oh, Marcello, never thought Id Really love you, but I do so My head waiters head on your platter Just say the word and [???] make him kiss my gutters Im just a soul whose intentions are good Oh lord, please dont let me be misunderstood Oh, Marcello! Oh, Marcello! Oh, Marcello, how I wonder The madonna, when she speak she tell the truth, no? She been saying, Ill have a baby When he grow up he become a killer and kill everybody Im just a soul whose intentions are good Oh lord, please dont let me be misunderstood First off, I love this song. and I found it when I was going through the list of her songs on Songmeanings.net and at first the accent kind of threw me off, but of course it grew on me and I absolutely love it now. I was confused when she mentioned "Im just a soul whose intentions are good.Oh lord, please dont let me be misunderstood" because that has to be an Animals reference, but yet the rest of the song was completely different. I researched the name Marcello and it came between something about the Mafia and the Godfather (I only skimmed, as you can tell.) and an Italian composer. What are your views on this...and how old is this? I couldn't find a record of what concert this was played at..mysterious.

  7. Dulce et Decorum Est Pro Patria Mori

Thank you very much. The family is doing well and there is a smile on everyone's face for most of the day.
  8. Gaga and Spektor

Lady GaGa and Regina are different and alike in different ways. Let me explain. I do agree they are polar opposites. That is Lady GaGa's music NOW is opposite of Regina's music. For many reasons. i.e. gaga makes pop music, regina makes piano music. lady gaga writes mostly about love, fame, money and Regina writes about life, stories, you catch my drift. But what I'm trying to say is, before GaGa was discovered, when she was Stefani playing in bars and clubs and small venues, she was playing music similar to Regina! now i'm in no way, shape, or form saying gaga is better than Regina. (because i have pledged allegiance to reg.) she would play piano and although most of her songs would be about love, they were in fact good. I was convinced up until hearing songs like these that she was just another pop music fake who had connections with people in the industry. But she does have talent, although she is talented in different ways then Regina. kind of like chocolate candy and fruity candy. both good, just in different ways and for different reasons. you don't see Regina dancing around on stage and bleeding at the end of a performance and then being hung. but on the contrary you don't see lady gaga writing deep lyrical songs with multiple languages and cultures. maybe i'm just babbling, but i love them both for different reasons, and that's all.
  9. Dulce et Decorum Est Pro Patria Mori

I know this might be a tad late...but I recently lost a close family member to a suicide..and it was ironic that I started listening to this song right before I found out the news. I absolutely love the interpretation about the war, I never even thought of that. I feel like this is such an honest song for Regina, almost as if it's symbolic for something that happened to her. I don't know. All I know is that I wish she'd have played it more than once!!
