  13. i find it sad

that there are hardly any people who read anything on here, who post nothing, that a lot of people have no idea Brümstix even exists, yet many people (who, may i add, have never looked twice at her website, out of choice) claim to be her biggest fan. i am not a "fan" of being a "fan" i respect regina spektor, and love her music, lyrics, everything. but it is annoying when i am driving in my car, with the window down, listening to regina. and people like to comment . they are her biggest fan...etc. sorry, im rambling. the gist of this post, is that i wish people would use this forum more, obviously we all have something in common. a common taste in music. and *sigh* im out of sorts today.

  20. Question for Slavic-Language Speakers!

So, maybe this is a bit off subject, But I am not sure where I should post it, My grandparents and my mom moved here from Russia before I was born...since then we've been back, but we live in America, and I am an American citizen. My grandparents have not too recently passed. My mother is off. somewhere, and I live with my daughter...I love that I am Russian, I have a lot of Russian culture in me and my everyday life, I have a Russian accent (growing up around it), and speak a little, but not nearly as much as I would like, I don't know anyone around me that speaks Russian, and I have no idea how to go about learning, Does anyone have any suggestions please?
  21. how did you get into regina?

Funny story actually. I was 17 working at Dunkin' Donuts, when this gorgeous girl came up to me and asked me about my name, and I told her, (Chrisi by the way) she told me I looked remarkably close to this artist that she loves (Regina) and what kind of music do I listen to, I told her, I listen to Poe (you probably haven't heard of her) The Cranberries, Groove Coverage, and Amon Tobin...she said, I would love this artist...So the next day at work, she brought me a CD with a compillation of amazing songs with everything from Fidelity to Happy Hooker, Just Like The Movies, Etc. since then, I've been completely in love. Thanks Again Buffy... I had all of her CD's (yes, including 11:11) until some socially challenged addict (I can only assume, and I have a pretty good idea) stole my CD player in it was Soviet Kitsch I only hope they got something more than $25 from my 18th birthday present, and one of my favorite Regina CD's. Luckily I had just recently before that downloaded it to my Itunes (off of my CD) so I had to have a burned one then. either way, I'm rambling.
  22. does regina frighten your parents?

I am a mom, and I love Regina...so does my daughter, she is 2, we dance to her, and sing all the time, it's wonderful, I did see her when she was in Atlanta last November, and I tried to make the show in Savannah, but it was sold at seeing as it was at a college. She is absolutely amazing

We'd love to hear more from you too! I also hope you're having a better day. As far as the heat goes. I don't understand at all what that has to do with posting. But even so, it's only summer on half the planet at the moment. I don't really post as much as I read... I know I would like to, but I guess I am weird about what I say as well... thanks though!
