  1. Radio City Music Hall on October 14, 2009

Hah, yeah that lounge was brilliant wasn't it? I really wanted a picture of me lounging on that little chaiselongue in the corner. If anyone is interested, here's an extended version of the stupid things I did last night bloggy blog blog

Great picture, Greg. I wanted to take a photo of that but my camera wouldn't have done it justice. The little spots of light all over the ceiling of the Hall were magical.

Has anyone mentioned yet that the afterparty may not have had much Regina, but it did have a free bar? My head doth hurt. I gave up on spotting Regina at some point and went to dance and was having such a good time that I totally missed her come in. I decided to be respectful and let her have fun with her folks (who look quite a lot like her!), which was probably not the right strategy because it meant that by the time I got my camera out she'd been ushered outside already (although she did compliment me on my outfit on the way past) and security wouldn't let me follow. It wasn't very dignified, but I started blubbing and begging (I came all the way!...), and eventually they let me past to take this amazing photo. (Oh and the concert was kinda good too. Dancing in the aisles for Love you're a Whore. God, I'm happy.)

My ticket says "Red Carpet Event with Regina Spektor" so as it's for charity I think she's pretty much obligated to be there! I've got tickets for both the gig and the party, but no company - is anyone else going on their own and would like to hang out a bit? I'm quite fun, I promise, but it was a bit much to ask of my friends to come with me all the way from England!
  5. Regina on SNL!! - Oct 10 2009

I managed to get a standby ticket and get into the dress rehearsal, and the two songs were *much* better than what was on the TV later. I guess it must have messed with her nerves to know that she was live on TV after all! I'm a bit miffed that I didn't stick around to try and meet her now, but plenty of time for that after the Radio City gig on wednesday!
  6. Party w reg after RCMH

Hell yeah. My New York holiday just got EVEN BETTER.
  7. Regina on SNL!! - Oct 10 2009

Apparently there's stand-by tickets available on the day: http://www.jaunted.com/story/2...ckets%3F+Think+Again
  8. Regina on SNL!! - Oct 10 2009

No one up for keeping me company in the SNL ticket queue on the 10th then?
  9. Regina on SNL!! - Oct 10 2009

Hello everyone - is anyone planning to try and get tickets for the taping? I live in the UK and missed all her appearances over the summer so I will combine a long-awaited trip to NYC with the gig at Radio City on the 14th and will also queue up for SNL tickets. I am going on my own so would apprechiate some like-minded company!
  10. Paris (Le Trabendo) Show

2000km? That might actually be even more than me! I just came from the UK because I was too late to get a ticket for a gig there. Haven't got the setlist, sorry, I just enjoyed...
  11. kid picture of Regina

Haha! Gosh she's really grown into her face... Just goes to show it's not always the pretty children that grow up to be beautiful.
  12. what is with the new sound?!

I do think it sounds really overproduced, especially Fidelity which I love so much, it's WAY too shiny on the record. Shame.
  13. Curious...

Yeah, I went to a gig in Germany (Hamburg) in August, which was cancelled. Couldn't find out any reasons for the cancellation either, someone mentioned something about either her or band menbers(?!) being ill. Very disappointing, especially if as you say she did play V.
  14. Thank you / Bristol signing

I agree btw. Far too much reverb, although only noticable in some parts. quite odd.
  15. Thank you / Bristol signing

Yeah, I found "better" on reginaspektor.net shortly after I wrote my last post, was just confused because it wasn't filed under "B", but at the end with the unconfirmed titles. Does anyone else think it's quite unusual for a Regina song, and could be really cheesy in the wrong hands? There's something about it that I don't like anyway. Thanks for reminding me of Fidelity, it actually came into my head as I was going to sleep last night and I felt this little rush of emotion... got to get that one too.
