  1. US Earthquakes 8/23/2011

5.8 is rather.... normal? I heard it lasted 45 seconds. That's a bit too long. And, hey, I didn't know you knew about xkcd, Mikaela. Gotta love Randall.

Except perhaps the horsey thing. I thought the ice cream obsession was your trade mark

I would take a walk downtown every day if I was in NYC
  5. Israel always singled out

This is really not the right place for this kind of discussion. At least that's my opinion.

  13. I have comment to say to the board members (suggestion?)

@Anthony Minsky: I don't agree with you. This is a forum that brings people together who adore Regina Spektor's music. If we were to talk about nothing but Regina, we wouldn't have anything to discuss for we all agree that she is awesome. Besides, one of the things that makes this forum fun to read is how people can (or used to) go off topic. @tallchick: Personally, I think it is a real shame if anyone is feeling hesitant to start a new thread on a forum like this one. However, this issue isn't that simple. Database and usage-wise, it is not very preferable to have too many threads. 2 threads about the same subject is not a big fuss BUT 9 threads (and that's amount i could count before getting bored) for requesting Regina's sheet music IS something. To be honest finding more than one thread about the same subject annoys me for I have to go through each one of them to see if the question I have in mind has been answered or discussed before. (This includes a person's preference on welcoming satan into his body, not being posted in Bulletin Posts because a post would have been a lot easier to ignore rather than a thread about it.)

First of all, I <3 Google. Secondly, if the board's find function is not working properly/at all, OR if you just want to search something on a specific website, you can ask the almighty Google by typing: site:<site_name> <whatever you want to search for> Here is an example:
  16. Let's go to the Movies...

I overheard a guy summarize Avatar the best way possible: "It was a mixture of Tarzan and Matrix."
  17. Sia appreciation thread

She is VERY talented... although I don't understand half of the words she sings. If you haven't watched her live performance of Lentil, click here. It's actually better than the recorded version.
  18. The 24 Hrs. Playlist

I have this in mind for almost 2 years and it's slowly becoming an obsession. I'm trying to make a playlist of 24 songs; each song for an hour of the day. Songs should contain an hour of the day in the lyrics or in the title. Genres can be indie, rock, pop, blues, alternative, country and maybe electronica. Does anyone has any song suggestions? The playslist so far is: 12 am - The Bastard of Midnight by The Damnwells "I'm the bastard of midnight, I might just sleep outside this door" 2 am - 2 am (Breathe) by Anna Nalick "2 am and she calls me 'cause I'm still awake" 3 am - 3 am by Matchbox Twenty OR Julia Nunes "It's 3 am I must be lonely" "Left to my own devices, I'd stay up till 3 am" 6 am - 6:00 by Dream Theater OR Turpentine by Brandi Carlile "Six o'clock on a Christmas morning" "Till it's 6 am and I'm all messed up" 9 am - Sunrise by Norah Jones (I'm not so sure about this one) "But the clock tells 9:15 for hours" 11 am - 11 am by Incubus "11 am, by now you would think that I would be up but my bed sheets shade the heat of choices I've made" 1 pm - One O'Clock Jump by Count Basie 3 pm - Tuesday by Weaklazyliar "It's 3 o'clock on Tuesday and I'm sitting in Starbuck's again" 5 pm - 5:00 by Brandi Carlile OR Sophia by Nerina Pallot "You know I worked all day and the sun went down at five" "5 o'clock and the fire escape symphony" 8 pm - Mary Ann by Regina Spektor "Served promptly at eight o'clock" 9 pm - Nine In the Afternoon by Panic! At the Disco "Cause it's nine in the afternoon and your eyes are the size of the moon"
