  1. Swine Flu....

I caught Swine Flu in October and am just fine now. Even though you feel terrible it is a very mild flu. The worst symptom I had was a fever that stayed at 103 for 4 days straight.
  2. Profanity/Vulgarity

You can't completely protect a child from profanity and/or vulgarity. Even if you only allow them to watch G-rated movies the kid that sits next to them in science class might still say "fuck" in the playground or the girl in the other class might still talk about hearing her brother and his girlfriend having sex.
  3. Republicans against hate-crime provisions in military

Calling something a hate crime is almost always waste of breath, in my opinion. As you said, the skull still bleeds. Say two people get into an argument and one happens to get more irritated and beats the other one up or stabs them. Just a normal crime, right? However, let's say that one person was white and the other was black. It just so happens that the white person beat or stabbed the black person. All of a sudden it's called a hate crime. How does the crime change? It doesn't.

I love how she will apologize and restart a song if she messes up. It's so cute.

I laughed super hard when she told the guy to "shut the fuck up." I was standing about 5-7 people away from him and I yelled she exact same thing about two seconds before she did. I have it on my phone because I was recording "Blue Lips." My friend Zach and I were also annoyed by the amount of singing I heard during the Far songs and the confused looks during older songs, but what can we expect? I enjoyed myself, though. The only disappointment I had was the fact that she didn't play The Genius Next Door. I was really hoping to hear that one. I would see her again in a heartbeat. I didn't really like Jupiter One, either. I thought all of their songs sounded the same. I clapped when they said it was going to be their last song.
  7. is she working on a new album? taking some time off? just playing random shows in nyc? i haven't heard anything about or from her in a really long time.

  19. Regina on this year's True Colors tour.

  20. Regina on this year's True Colors tour.

i didn't tell people to stop sharing, i just made a comment about how the thread was off topic now. the thread is about a music tour, not gay/lesbian school stories.
  21. Regina on this year's True Colors tour.

this thread is so off topic now. but i saw my official reason not to attend true colors again... tickets running around $85 for denver. and regina isn't even really on the tour.

Careful, you're treading on VERY thin ice. You better just STFU already.* *taking the majority brumstix view on "free speech". i honestly don't give a fuck. if this place truly prides itself on tolerance and free speech, there should be no such thing as thin ice.

i didn't say kids still in high school don't know anything about society. i said that the world inside of the schools is different than the world outside. that's not really saying they don't know anything.
  25. Regina on this year's True Colors tour.

i think the main thing here is fans of an artist, such as regina, are surprised when they see other fans that don't follow the same ideals and beliefs that the artist does. musical fans like to think they're all the same when it comes to issues, appearance, etc... that doesn't just stop with regina. i went to see nine inch nails in 2006 and got looked at like a crazy person several times because i came in jeans and a white t-shirt (instead of fishnets and pleather) and i didn't cheer when trent reznor dissed on the president. i personally enjoy the diversity of the culture, when it comes to values, beliefs, convictions, whatever. it keeps life interesting.
