  3. Pizza?

You can either : 1.)Make croutons out of leftover deepdish pizza crusts/sour-dough bread/garlic bread, and throw them on soup right before eating. Here's a crouton recipe,Croutons or 2.) Keep the leftover deepdish pizza crusts/sour-dough bread/ garlic bread on the side, and just take a bite of bread, then a spoonful of soup, etc. This would be great with a salad for appetizer. Yum.
  4. Pizza?

This is an excellent idea. It'd probably be a tomato based soup, with cheese and Italian seasoning. For the crust, how about pizza crust flavored croutons, thrown in at the last minute so they don't get too soggy. Other ingredients (pepperoni, mushrooms, peppers, etc.) optional, like the toppings on a real pizza. Someone who can cook (which rules me out) should seriously try this and post the recipe.

  9. Which version of Samson do you like better?

She claims to have driven the executives crazy but having the control she does they had to put up with her! Michelangelo spent eight years working on the Pieta; it was a personal work (not commisioned by anyone), and he had become more religious in his old age, and wanted a devotional/personal masterpiece to place on his tomb. But the more he worked on it, the more he noticed the little flaws in an otherwise perfect piece. After eight years he flipped out and took a hammer to it, but his assistant Antonio stopped him, and Michelangelo consented to let Calcagni finish it. I'm not saying Regina's that way or anything, but artists can be sensitive. I first heard Samson on the video she has in the library here, and it really knocked me over. We all have first loves that have left a mark, and it's just such a poignant, melancholy piece. The slowness, and the more reminiscent quality (it seems to me), of the Songs version just sounds a little more bitter-sweet. But I love both versions, and the video to the BTH version is really nice too.
  10. Which version of Samson do you like better?

I prefer the Songs version too. It has a more raw, spontaneous feel to it. I think the polished variation loses some of the emotion.

  14. Hey folks, Regina has a blog at Myspace with some recent postings on it. http://myspace.com/reginaspektor Hope the link works(I'm a techno-klutz), but if it doesn't, just type it in manually without the url and brackets. Happy trails, amigos!
