  1. Review of "Far"

Pitchfork actually has never given Regina that great a rating on a cd, and they've always called her cuteness an act, this is the lowest they've sunk yet. Seriously people, avoid it. Its not worth it.
  2. Review of "Far"

Haha people are off to bed and I'm leaving for work in 5! My hours are so ridiculous. Anyhow, Jamie I feel eeexactly the same.
  3. What are you Eeting right now?

We had a Hard Rock Amusement Park open near us and there was one ride called "Nights in White Satin," based on the Moody Blues song. Basically it was an acid trip...you get in this car and it brings you through all these weird visual effects and the song plays throughout, that video reminded me SO much of that ride. And Regina as the moon was so brilliant, I especially love when she puts her lips on the glass at the very end. Her viral videos just have so much more soul than her heavily produced ones, I guess Regina's just one who can shine without all the adornment.
  4. Review of "Far"

Yes, perfect and so truthful. I still remember as a kid going to the park and becoming instant best friends with someone, of course the barrage of questions from mom would follow--questions to which I'd have no answer. All I knew was he liked power rangers and had a yellow bike! What more was there to know? Haha I think when we grow up we forget how to relate to each other in such a simple way.
  5. What are you Eeting right now?

    High again I see. hehehe
  6. Wee Rants

That show stresses me out to the max. I feel so terrible for those kids...

I have enough cynicism running in my veins already, Regina's openness and optimism is wondrous and unique. I hope she never loses it, despite the things assholes like him might say. I agree, they attacked HER, as in Regina, more in that article than the music which they hardly spoke at all. Regina reminds me of that pure joy you get when you're young during the holiday season. It's unexplainable and the purest form of happiness. And people loose that, so easily. It seems she always has it and has never lost it. A fascination with more than trivial things. Assholes could never destroy that, she's so much deeper. We love you Regina Right, I mean how many people do you know that get excited because they realize we're all in space? Everyone just knows it and take it for granted, we grow older and we lose that childish outlook--most people see this as a bad thing, most people wish to have a more childlike, a more open perspective. Its no surprise that Regina loves The Little Prince, just like that book says "Grown-ups never understand anything by themselves, and it is tiresome for children to be always and forever explaining things to them." I love Regina for explaining to me why the smallest things are so wonderful, and I love her for doing it with the wisdom of an adult.

  9. "Far" Regina's Next Album :D

I still think Fart should've been the title, then when reviewers called it immature we could just laugh and know we're in on the joke.

  11. Songs that never get old

quote: Originally posted by grantsnx: tbh, i love the beatles but can't listen to them too often or I get bored of their music I'm the same way, there was a time when EVERYONE at my school played them for every event and I've just grown to become sick of them. I understand how influential they are, and I do enjoy some tracks no matter how many times I hear them (Across the Universe), but largely I can do without them.
  12. Songs that never get old

Reg: Dance Anthem, Man of 1000, Ode to Divorce, Somedays Neutral Milk Hotel: King of Carrot Flowers, Oh Comely, Two Headed Boy Pt. 2 & 3 Tracy Chapman: Fast Car Joni Mitchell : A Case of You Could name many more, will leave it at these for now...
  13. "Far" Regina's Next Album :D

I'm so happy, its wonderful. Can't wait to have the real thing in my hands.
  14. Review of "Far"

I don't know if anyone's mentioned it yet. But I HIGHLY suggest avoiding Pitchfork, I've always felt like those people have their heads up their own asses anyway and rarely agree with their "top picks" but this review is just ridiculous. Do yourself a favor and stay away.
  15. Wee Rants

^Haha yeah those commercials crack me up. Just thinking that these nut jobs screwed their commercial the first time around.
  16. Interviews & Appearences 2009

Listening to her talk its no wonder her lyrics are so strong, she's such an insightful person.
  17. What are you listening to right now?

Souls Like the Wheels - Avett Bros Haven't listened to them since I saw them in concert, don't know why because I love them.
  18. Song for Recital

    ^Good suggestion.
  19. regina in New York Times

That whole article was wonderful, did anyone else love hearing the little story about 5th grade Regina? And Reg, the city is great, no doubt, but there's definitely something to be said about open spaces...and if you want to see the ocean again you're welcome to pay me a visit!
  20. WE HAVE SOME BRUMSTIX BIRTHDAYS TODAY!!!!!!

    Happy Birthday Laura!!
  21. "Ink Stains" *new song*

The thing is, they don't have to be a fan of Reg, but they don't have to diss her either. Personally Tori and Bjork do nothing for me, doesn't mean I don't recognize why people would like them and certainly doesn't make me feel the need to talk poorly of them.
  22. What are you Eeting right now?

    Apple slices with cinnamon
  23. Wee Rants

That should be enough for them to accept me in, right?
  24. Regina's Recurring Motifs

The color blue. Blue Lips, The Wallet, yes I thought of this while listening to Far haha...Silly Eye Color Generalizations. More to come I'm sure... Ink Stains, One String Blues, My Man (I guess blue eyes is used a lot too), Belt... (Lady...blues, get it? Get it? Heh bad joke)

Neutral Milk Hotel (Jeff Mangum) is my favorite artist next to Reg. Those pinheads! Aeroplane is one of the most profound albums I've ever heard...I just can't believe the stupidity...
