  1. Well...if it makes you feel any better I read this message and immediately went to Cd Baby and bought myself a copy of Songs. I didn't even know it was still in print so yeah...I was pretty excited.
  2. French Onion anyone?

I looove French Onion. Sadly my college makes the worst version of it I've ever tasted so I put a little money aside every week to get a bowl from my favorite sandwich shop. Can't go a week without some French Onion!
  3. What is the first song you have people listen to from regina?

It used to be Ode to Divorce or Braille mostly because they were the first songs I heard. But now that my knowledge of her music has increased I usually have them listen to Us and lead them in from there. As a general rule I avoid Fidelity because its played fairly often and I trust they'll hear it eventually even without my help.
  4. WNYC 2005 again, for those who might have missed it.

I was all ready to write that I still didn't hear the Fidelity part but then smart me realized I might want to scroll down. And lo and behold, there it is haha. Again, thank you for the link. Regina is amazing to have just written it the night before and deliver the song so beautifully...wow. And I love The Genius Next Door as well. The only think that annoys me is that monotonous interviewer. Jeez, grow an emotion!
  5. looking for an mp3

Does anyone have an mp3 for "Reading Time With Pickle"? Unfortunately itunes doesn't have it but I love the song and have been unable to find it anywhere. Thanks!
  6. looking for an mp3

    Ah great! Thanks
  7. looking for an mp3

Um if anyone has a "Folding Chair" mp3 that'd be great too. Thanks guys!
  8. Tears and Regina

Ode to Divorce and Somedays do it for me. I go walking most every day (more because I enjoy the outdoors and having time to think than for exercise really) and when these songs come up the almost always make my eyes water.

  10. Changing opinions?

I agree with Fran...I listened to Samson sooo much when I first discovered it that it ran a little dry with me for while, but as a general rule I adore all her songs at all times. I mean...how could you not?
  11. WNYC 2005 again, for those who might have missed it.

Awesome interview but for some reason I never heard the "Fidelity" singing part you were referring to...I even searched the whole website. None the less, the link was greatly appreciated
  12. The first time I ever hear of Regina Spektor was, embarrassingly enough, in Seventeen magazine. They had an article about a year ago about a cd they were coming out with and the first track was Ode to Divorce. I'm not really sure why because I didn't search any of the any artists in the article but I opened up itunes and spontaneously bought the song. After the first time I heard it I immediately put it on repeat and listened to it over and over till I fell asleep to it. It was the most touching song I had ever heard and I felt so struck by it. So ever since then I've been an absolute addict. Next stop, seeing Regina live...one of these days at least.
