  1. Regina playing planned parenthood benefit

DO NOT FEED THE TROLL DO NOT FEED THE TROLL DO NOT FEED THE TROLL DO NOT FEED THE TROLL
  2. Like ATU, which uses a lot Beatles references and characters, from songs that are not used in the movie. HFLAbob, I love that idea! -We could have a secondary character named Daniel Cowman, or Samson even if we don't actually use the songs.
  3. What are you listening to right now?

The Lost Fingers- Pump Up The Jam
  4. Copyright Infringement

I hate these sorts of corporations, they remind me of Stalinist Russia. You have infringed copyright, comrade, therefore you are a traitor to our Socialist Motherland
  5. I Want To sing could also work for that scene.

Mary Ann • Beautiful, and has a beautiful voice • Strong minded • Outgoing • Hooker (a happy one) • Sings in a pub • Married to Carl • Married Carl at young age • Secretly continued whoring after she was married • Trying to make it as a musician • Carl and Mary Ann’s marriage went sour • Left Carl for another man • Goes insane/ kills Carl after she leaves him • Born & raised in a small town • Didn’t go to college • Always yearned to leave her small town home • Moved to the Bronx with Carl as soon as they were able • Loves the Bronx Carl • Less outgoing then Mary Ann • Prefers small town life • Moved to NYC b/c Mary Ann wanted it • Got an office job to support Mary Ann • Bored w/ job • Trying to write a novel? • Not doing very well in job • Gets fired from job before Mary Ann leaves him • Falls in love with Lucille before he is killed Lucille • Kind of an odd girl • Addicted to Cocaine • Street Musician • Carl’s downstairs neighbor • Meets him after Mary Ann leaves him • Helps him get over Mary Ann and follow his dreams • Gets in a fight with Carl before he is murdered • Swears to bring Mary Ann to justice for Carl’s murder thoughts? Love it! This is brilliant. The question is: Which song will Mary Ann sing right before she kills Carl?

  8. I attempted to write a short scene linking the song Ode To Divorce and Pavlov's Daughter: SCENE X An apartment building hallway. We can see four doors and a staircase leading to the floor downstairs, Carl enters rushing up the stairs and walking towards the door of his apartment. He takes his keys out of his pocket and notices a note from his wife stuck on the door. Carl takes the note and begins reading it CARL(reading): Dear Carl, I am leaving you for another man. Will come to pick up my things later in the week. Mary Ann He feels distraught, not only did he lose his job earlier that day, but now his wife is leaving him. Carl lets out a sigh and sits down on the stairs CARL(Singing): The food that I'm eating Is suddenly tasteless I know I'm alone now I know what it tastes like So break me to small parts Let go in small doses But spare some for spare parts There might be some good ones Like you might make a dollar I'm inside your mouth now Behind your tonsils Peaking over your molars You're talking to her now You've eaten something minty And you're making that face that I like And you're going in, in for the kill, kill For the killer kiss, kiss For the kiss, kiss I need your money It'll help me I need your car and I need your love I need your money It'll help me I need your car and I need your love So won't you help a brother out? Won't you help a brother out? Won't you help a brother out, out, out, out, out? Just break me to small parts Let go in small doses But spare some for spare parts You might make a dollar At this point, the sound of bongo drums is heard vaguely, and a girl, Lucille, sits at the foot of the stairs playing the bongos. Carl does not notice her. You might make a dollar Dollar You might make a dollar So won't you help a brother out? Won't you help a brother out? Won't you help a brother out, out, out, out, out? Just break me to small parts Let go in small doses But spare some for spare parts There might be some good ones You might make a dollar (There might be some good ones) There might be some good ones (You might make a dollar) You might make a dollar (There might be some good ones) There might be some good ones Lucille begins rapping a song over the beat of the bongo, and Carl looks up from his sorrow and begins to listen LUCILLE: The gravediggers getting stuck in the machine Picking getting slim, slimmer I hear them say my name Regin-ah, Regin-ah, Regin-ah-ah-ahh Yes, I'm putting the boulder to my ear And I still can't hear What'dya think I was an amateur Playin' with my tempa-cha-cha-cha-cha-ture? If I hear another song about angels If I see another feather on the dumb-box I'm gonna go to Babylon and get me some whiskey Gonna go to Babylon and get me some whiskey now If I hear another song about angels If I see another feather on the dumb-box I'm gonna go to Babylon and get me some whiskey Oh, get me some whiskey Oh, get me some whiskey Oh, get me some whiskey now. CARL: What is that? Lucille turns around LUCILLE: Oh, hi. She walks up towards him and sits next to him. LUCILLE (singing): My name is Lucille And I know How you feel CARL: I'm Carl LUCILLE (singing): I live downstairs I hear you taking out your garbage I hear you loving your girlfriend CARL(interrupting): she's my wife, actually LUCILLE(singing): I hear you loving yourself too I hear you flushing your toilet I hear you turning your thoughts off And I, I turn mine off too The only thing I hear is you And you don't sound nice And you don't sound right And you don't sound good And you don't sound right Carl appears confused LUCILLE (singing): My name is Lucille And I know How you feel I live downstairs I hear you taking out your garbage I hear you loving your girlfriend I hear you loving yourself too I hear you turning your thoughts off I hear you turning your thoughts off And it gets quiet, quiet, oh Quiet, quiet, quiet, quiet Quiet, oh, quiet, oh Quiet, quiet, quiet, qui, qui Qui, qui, qui, qui, qui, qui, qui Qui, qui, qui, qui, qui, qui, qui, qui, qui, qui, qui, quiet ...
  9. Have a happy new year

I hope this coming year is filled with health and happiness for everyone. Best wishes for 09
  10. Seconded! Across The Universe was awesome though.
  11. Some songs can be kind of linked together. ie: Daniel Cowman and Prisioners. What about having a Greek Chorus type narrative structure? eg: The musical could with a man in a suit exiting a building and going off to work while a narrator sings the first verse of Ghost of Corporate Future. The rest of the song could be used in reprises.
  12. Where are you from?

  13. What's wrong with Regina?

The version played by Zach Condon of Beirut is better then Buckley's IMO. Reg's version is also great.
  17. your thoughts about ms.regina spektor

What's wrong with left-wing politics? Sweden and other Scandinavian countries have left-wing governments and they seem quite happy. Left wing does not have to equal Hugo Chavez or Josef Stalin! If you're talking about the fact that she supported Obama, then I'm sorry to tell you he's not very left-wing, no mainstream US politicians are. Obama, like his party the Democrats, is really more in the centre of the political spectrum.
  18. I'm most definitley a coke addict...as in the soda. My other drug of choice right now would be Sigur Ros' song Hoppiolla.
  19. Christmas 2008

    She is awesome, obviously.

I'm FUCKING PISSED that I could not get tickets for the Radiohead concert in Mexico City. They sold out within an hour, and over half of them were probably bought by the re-saler mafias and the so-called 'Mexican jet set' who got tickets for free due to them being related to owners and executives from sponsor companies and who aren't even fans, because that's just the way it works in corrupt third-world societies like the one I live in. I'll probably just end up buying tickets from the re-salers/ mob, thus sadly giving them finnancial aid for their illicit activities (child pornography, etc), thus feeding into the vicious cycle of organised crime...
  24. What are you Eeting right now?

I just finished eating a granola bar
