  1. Carbon Monoxide

Carbon monoxide Soon I'll go to sleep If I don't got my socks on right They slide right off of my feet As I walk-a, walk-a, walk-a, walk-a, walk-a, walk-a, walk Walk-a, walk, walk-a, walk, walk-a, walk Carbon monoxide As I take you home The first time I get my socks on right But I don't have a gas mask on As I walk-a, walk-a, walk-a, walk-a, walk-a, walk-a, walk-a, walk-a, walk-a, walk-a, walk-a Walk you home, Yeah I'm so cool, I'm so cool, I'm so cool Walk-a, walk-a, walk, walk-a, walk-a, walk, Walk, walk-a, walk-a, walk-a, walk-a Walk you home Yeah I'm so cool, I'm so cool, I'm so cool Come on daddy, come on daddy, come on daddy, come on daddy, Come on daddy, come on daddy, come on daddy, come on daddy Carbon monoxide Soon we'll go to sleep No one will notice we're gone Cause we don't have a job to keep They'll just say that we're being lazy Sex crazed, sex crazed, hazy They'll just say we're living our whole life in bed And we'll be in bed but we'll be oh so very much Dead-a, dead-a, dead-a, dead-a, dead-a Dead-a, dead-a, dead-a, dead-a, dead-a Dead-a, d-dead, yeah But we're so cool, we're so cool, we're so cool Dead-a, dead-a, dead-a, dead-a, dead-a Dead-a, dead-a, dead-a, dead-a, dead-a Dead-a, d-dead Dead But we're still cool, we're still cool, we're still cool Come on daddy, come on daddy come on, come on, come on daddy Come on daddy, come on daddy, come on daddy, come on daddy Come on daddy, come on daddy, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on Carbon monoxide, carbon monoxide. -------------------------------- Interpretation: I sense this song is more about suffocating relationships than it is about actual dying, but it could be about both. Every time I hear it I remember a relationship from when I was young, cool, lazy, sex crazed and hazy. Our apartment even had an ancient gas stove, though nothing bad ever happened in that sense.

  5. Six Thoughts...

    1) My wife's going back to the midwest because her grandmother passed away. 2) I'm staying behind with the kiddo. 3) I'm nervous about how things will go. 4) It's going to be hot. Glad I live near a lake. 5) I'd like to be playing music in the basement, but it's getting a little late for that. Maybe I will anyway. 6) Still basking in the glory of Regina's show here last week. Ahhhhh...

I was just musing on this very topic. Hope it's a sweet time!
  14. Mental Images during songs.

What a wonderful thread! I often see images in my mind when I listen to Regina's music. Not exactly hallucinations, but there's a highly palpable quality to them. A scene from a dream or a movie remembered.
  15. Hey remember that time when..?

quote: Hey remember that time when we loved to walk in the city during the night. Remember when we met hippies and danced with them all night. I met some hippies on a walk downtown one night. They gave me an opium flower and told me I could eat it to get high. I ate it, but not much happened.
  16. What are you listening to right now?

EET from Regi's Soundcloud. Sounds different than the album version. Is it? Or is it just these headphones?

  18. what is your favourite clip of regina?

There was an interview I saw once and can't find again. Near the end of it, Regina was expressing apprehensions about becoming too typecast. She said something like "then what you wear has to match what you listen to, and what you listen to has so match what you read, and what you read has to match your friends." Just pure Regina. If anybody knows where this clip resides, I'd be grateful.
  19. Hey remember that time when..?

Hey remember that time when you showed me a frozen fountain you found while walking home from work? The lights were still on and it looked really beautiful in the dark.

Samson! Samson versus Begin to Hope.
  21. Regina Song Showdown!

Another Town (Although I love Love Affair). Another Town Vs. Wallet (I put some thought into this pairing)
  22. Hey I dreamt about Regina!

I had a daydream this morning that Regina was playing a secret show in my town, and I knew about it, and I went, and I got way up front, and I got to make a request! About at that point my wife walked into the kitchen, made note of my goofy grin and asked, "are you thinking nice thoughts?"
  23. Other good music

I've been most impressed with the Alabama Shakes.
  24. Regina Tattoo

Very cool tat. If i ever get a tattoo I think it will be "Love is the answer to a question that I have forgotten and I know I've been asked, so the answer's got to be love." It's just so true. But, I'm not prone to having tattoos or other forms of body ornamentation, so it may just remain an idea.
  25. Regina Song Showdown!

Still Ode to Divorce (unless we bring in Reggie Watts on Hotel Song). Versus Reading Time with Pickle.
