I also don't like Field Below but I'm not a huge fan of BTH overall. I basically don't listen to any tracks past On the radio with the exeption of Apres Moi and occasionaly That time. I prefer the demo version of Hotel song. The others, I'm sorry, I don't like. Sailor song is the only one from Soviet Kitsch I skip ^^ You don't like Sailor Song???!!! Don't ever speak to me again.... jk Hey hey hey! I don't like Sailor Song either... Don't worry, Radka, I know exactly how you feel about it.

sweetness in my lungs 71 Report post Posted November 3, 2009 quote: Originally posted by tallchick: will probably never like field below. but who knows. i try and i just cant finish it. oh, I used to be like that as well. I thought it was long and lacking in melody. But now, oh man! The emotions she put into that song! "and darkness spreads over the snow like ancient bruises". I love the image that sentence creates in my head. Give the a watch. just her and her piano it's on my iPod 4-evah! 1:44-1:50 the stomping at 2:08 the end of "go" that starts at 2:50 3:08-3:45 especially "bruises" and the second "I'm awake and feel the ache" and the last minute...so different from the album version. Try spending five minutes of your day watching it and noticing these moments ah. To me it's amazing. The piano playing in this song is gorgeous. P.S. you don't have to like it

RaelNYC 0 Report post Posted November 7, 2009 Songs have places in your heart by the relevance. I had three girlfriends who lived downtown. We had great times, and now they're gone. So even without the life situation similarity, I think I'd have loved Field Below, with the rooster and the darkness spreading over the snow... It's earthy. I grew up a farmboy. It's universal, we all sometimes wish we'd see a field below, it's just reacking another peak in life.
Greyaddiction 0 Report post Posted November 13, 2009 I didn't like Field Below at first. I always skipped it. Then I came across the VH1 live version on youtube and I fell completely in love. I didn't like Your Honor either, but it's grown on me. I've never really liked Edit or Lady either. They haven't grown on me yet, but who knows? Maybe they will
davidh 0 Report post Posted November 15, 2009 I can now join this thread, because I finally like the song Your Honor - I know it's something of a controversial one among Regina fans, but it really did go over my head. I actually really enjoyed the introduction to it, but couldn't get into YH for some reason. I'd listened to it at home, on my MP3 player, and on the computer. Over the weekend, I finally didn't skip past it when listening to it in the car, cranked up, and it sounded GREAT. So there you go - it's a driving song!
