Yes, sure. Angelina won an Oscar for that one. You know it was based on the book authors stay in an institution.

My favorite that year though was American Beauty. That is a classic. It won 4 or 5 Oscars.

yes, i really like that movie. i just read the book for the first time this summer. i also just watched the hours and i really liked it.

speaking of movies based on books, i know the virgin suicides has been mentioned in this discussion, and i was wondering if anyone's read the book? it's very good, one of my favorites. both the movie and the book.

hehe.. these last posts remind me of a jim gaffigan comedy skit...where he complains about people who when you say "i like this movie" always say "oh the book was better" and he says "you know what i liked about the movie, no reading" haha. i love it.

but i usually like books that have movies based on em.. like 'a prayer for owen meany' had 'simon birch' based on it...both were really good. but i just like ashley judd alot. (she speaks french, did y'all know that?)

Yeah, I love that book. I thought the movie was pretty good, too.

i really like the author jeffrey eugenides' writing style, and i love sofia coppola, so the movie was a winning combination for me.
