i think its pretty balanced for me all in all, though my recent musical discoveries are mostly women... reg, camille, jordana el,and the chick from heartless bastards amy winehouse, kate nash.... all women... but i recently found sufjan stevens, and the kooks and they are quite awesome so im excited to have male obsessions back in my life.lol

ugh. my mom just came into my room, and i was watching a video of regina on youtube. so of course she swoops in to see what it is, and despite my scramble to thwart her, since i didnt feel like dealing with her, she probably saw a one second clip. she then immediately scrunches up her face in some display of disapproval or disgust. i was so annoyed. especially since i'm tired. pissed me right off...so i needed to rant

My mother never cared for Regina at all and I thought that when we saw Regina live that it would change her opinion and it didn't! I was very shocked, haha. She said she was "a very good piano player and cute" but she doesn't understand why I find Regina's writing so appealing and amazing.

Anddd, music box, I love The Cure too, especially Disintegration. =D

My dad first encountered regina when he came into the study and 'Mary Ann' was playing. The first line he heard regina sing was 'he came in and unbuckled quickly'. My dad left the study as quickly as he could, whilst repeating the line to himself in disbelief. So yes, regina obviously terrifies my father! My mum kinda likes her though.

Totally off topic. Newcastle-upon-Tyne, as in Brown Ale? One historic place you're in. Besides the ale!

Oh, my gosh!!! That was so cool!!! I wish I could do something like that but my parents would never let me. About 2 years ago I bought a Harry Potter poster and my dad said I couldn't stick it up with thumbtacks so I was like "What am I gonna stick it up with, Scotch tape?!" but we didn't have any so I used duct tape instead. And it kept falling down.

Anyway, my mom doesn't like Regina very much...various times I've let her listen to some of Regina's songs and surprisingly she didn't like any of them. But my dad likes her anyway, not to the point of asking me to listen to her songs on my iPod, but he thinks she plays the piano good. Smiler

Wow Johny, I'm from Durham - well I was born there and lived there only 4 years... I don't have an accent or anything though.
