Your Honor almost called Punky!

Recommended Posts

Yeah, I remember reading this. I was struck by how, from the beginning, she knew exactly what she wanted (the strings comment) and pursued it with perfectionistic zeal.

Also, her comments about Russia. I went to Moscow in the 80s and remember going to Gorky Park and feeling like I was in a time warp. So old fashioned, in a nice way. All the kids in Moscow wore these giant bows in their hair, very sweet. The Gorky Park amusement park was really low-tech---I remember seeing things like a bare room full of distorting mirrors---so simple, yet all the people were in hysterics seeing themselves (no whining, spoiled kids that I could see).

i love working titles. =D they give such a new perspective to songs...

cuz we are soo used to some names

like if regina ever released 'i cut off my hair' as 'VIP' id be like

no

its i cut off my hair~~~

but i think maybe the band called it punky, or it was a little nickname (since she said -it depnds who you ask-)

kinda cool tho.

I'd actually call "Your Honour" punky too Confused

It's loud with some softer/gentler parts, but that's not "un-punky" by my standards... ehm... Punk isn't just 2 and a half minutes of fast-paced noise and anger mind you!

I'd not only call it punk-Y, I'd call it genuine punkrock Big Grin, the first line she sings does it: "I kissed your lips and I tasted 'Bloode' TUDUDUDUDUDUDUDU!"
