1000 Albums to Hear

Recommended Posts

Wow, I never realised what a ripple this Thread would result in on here, with sweet Regina being omitted from The Guardian's "1000 Albums to Hear Before You Die"! Eeker

I dug out Part 4 of the Magazine that covered the "S" section, found an e-mail address,

Where readers were invited to send in their selections, as The Guardian Team of Writers admitted that there were plenty of missing classics, as many irate readers pointed out that they contrived to miss "The Band" and added,

"That's because we were trying to escape the beardy Guardian stereotypes!"

I just looked on that link and you know what, Regina still missed the cut and we are probably too late to change that now! Frowner

I am so glad someone said Kimya Dawson!

She's great!

umm, lets see...

Kate Nash- Made of Bricks (it was released in the UK in 2007 but I think it is still to be released in 2008 in the US. Anyway, I have it, and it's great)

Jimi Hendrix- Axis:Bold as Love

Wolfmother- Wolfmother

Johnny Cash- Johnny Cash at Folsom Prison

and A LOT of others that I can't think of at the second
