I prefer Fruit Crumble to Fruit Pies, as the latter have a tendency toward Soggy Bottoms!


I have perfected my Recipe for Blackberry & Apple Crumble over decades, one of my tips is to put Ground Almonds in the Crumble and a little Vanilla extract in the filling. Normally I would eyeroll like crazy now, just thinking of My Fruit Crumble and Custard, but I will keep to my pledge for a little while.
