black bean honey carrot soup

This is the original bulk recipe (yields a touch under 2 gallons) for a hearty soup I improvised while working as chef at the Cardigan Lodge in NH in the summer of 2002. I have made it in small batches as well, but never bothered to write down my new calculations for ingredient amounts. Everything should be fine as long as the proportions are maintained. It was good for midsummer cold snaps in the mountains and is likely to taste better the day after you make it.
