Who will save music? One guess...

Musiclover, you're spot-on. It's a blatant generalisation that male musicians are all about pecking orders and fancy gear and music is not and was never in need of saving... though, half a decade ago I found The Strokes and White Stripes did just that (for the Mtv Generation, which is actually a rather small demographic)

Yes, Regina is a fresh breath of air and a very inspiring artist (who stands out in a crowd of semi-copycat pianogirls), but music's saviour?

It's not music that needs saving...

... It's the audience

Thought maybe this would be an appropriate place to post this.

"In an interview for a new high school textbook called The Rax Active Citizen Toolkit, which aims to inspire youngsters to become more politically literate, Yorke claims the music industry is on the verge of a major crisis and could collapse completely within "months".

He says, "It will be only a matter of time - months rather than years - before the music business establishment completely folds. (It will be) no great loss to the world."

Radiohead frontman: Music Industry on verge of collapse

Yet another reason why Regina should leave her label.

I am personally am waiting for someone to save rap. It seems like Jay-Z and Eminem are the last holdouts refusing to autotune and vocode the shit out of their material.
