Tori Amos

i think its fair enough if Regina dislikes the comparison.. from what i understand the whole "anti-folk" ideas to be, Tori is quite opposite this in her songwriting style. I will always have a place in my heart for Tori's music, discovering her was like a religious experience (lol).. but they are certainly very different.. What i love about Regina's music is the way she *tells it how it is* and the way she converts such small, everyday things into beautiful adventures.. a bit like a musical Amelie Poulin. i think both artists have achieved very different things, and the comparisons are, as was said, very largely superficial... just another odd piano girl......

I wouldn't say she was like Tori Amos. Tori is "quirky" in a makes-sense-only-to-me (the me being Tori) kind of way while Regina is a loveable oddball in a I-never-thought-of-it-in-that-way-before way. Plus they just don't sound alike.
