Sorry this took so long. I couldn't find it. I don't know what happened. I'll keep it in mind next time I use that other computer in case I overlooked it, but I'm pretty sure I've looked through everything thoroughly. I'm sorry.

I did manage to find the journal I got it from. It looks dead, but maybe someone could get in contact with the recorder. They might still have it. Smiler

Regina Spektor was also in Barry Alexander Brown's "Winning Girls Through Psychic Mind Control", a Cannery Filmworks (New York) production from 2002. She is the girl who loses the ring and is the singing voice of the love interest, Kathy (played by Amy Carlson). She contributed five songs to the soundtrack during her senior year of college, including a professionally re-recorded version of "I Want to Sing" (11:11) and four covers, including the opening credits theme "I Put A Spell On You".

should we renew our efforts to try to get a copy of the aforementioned film somehow?

anyone wanna check JohnnyC's Spektography against the LyricsWikia page?

If you want to use it instead of creating a similar thread, feel free to tell me what to update.

Great. I'm pretty sure you can edit the title. Apparently she sang "I Put A Spell On You" and three other covers in the movie "Winning Girls Through Psychic Mind Control" - so you can add that.

Btw, a couple of your links don't work:

"In the Studio" - http://www.respektonline.com/songs.php?s=217

"(With the Black Birds)" - http://www.sing365.com/music/l...1221482574CF0023B1A2

Also, the song titles need to be checked on the LyricsWikia page. There are some duplicates of the same songs under different names that need to be cross-examined and deleted.

Maybe we can somehow arrange a fan interview with Regina and put some of these questions to rest.

edit: found this lovely thread:

Yeah that thread is awesome Smiler

I believe only mod can change the title of a thread.

I added those songs, but can we please get the source? Tried google but no luck.

I'm not really into cleaning up the lyricswikia page. It's a mess :S

The source is a comment on the IMDb page for the movie:

What type of role does she have? Anyone know?

Sound is usually the greatest character, even if the sound is absent

Regina Spektor is the singing voice of the love interest, who may be dead (it's ambiguous for most of the movie).

She also sings the opening credits theme, a really great cover of "I Put A Spell On You."

srg also posted another source at this thread http://reginaspektor.infopop.c...1039611?r=9011039611

She did five songs, one was an original "I Want to Sing" from 11:11 and the others were covers.

Does anyone know if the trailer for the movie can be seen anywhere anymore?

Here she is in the credits and I found some movie stills here and here. And a poster.

"With a remarkable look and a head-turning pop soundtrack" http://web.archive.org/web/200...ntrol.com/press.html

"Reviewed at Seattle Film Festival, June 9, 2002. Running time: 93 MIN." http://web.archive.org/web/200...m/varietyreview.html

Maybe there could be a trailer or pics at their site in wayback machine...
