I think I went overkill with the number of Kristmas songs... oh well, I really like my oldies. It's not December until I hear 'December Snow' by the Moody Blues. ;P

Yeah, it's gonna be great. Steven Moffat said they went broke for this one. The

look awesome.

Wow, he was the Doctor 36 years ago... =^o

I tried getting into the old Who but I couldn't get over the cheesy special effects. I've only watched every episode from the 8th Doctor on. I haven't seen all the Confidentials and I haven't been able to get into Sarah Jane Adventures or Torchwood.

I didn't expect to find so many Whovians at the 'stix. I guess you guys will appreciate this: In 'Hotel Song' I like to pretend she's saying "Sycorax and lies" instead of "Cigarettes and lies". How's that for geeky?

One more day left until Doctor Who. Also, Christmas.

edit:

I just watched the Christmas Special of Doctor Who "A Christmas Carol". It was great. (watch it here if you want a hour's worth of awesome, might have to dl DivX first). The Coming Soon preview of series 6 was great too.

Mewy Kristmus, ev'rybody! Hope you all got lots of nice prezzies.

le sigh.

No one's posting in my thread I designated for holiday chatter.

I chuckled at these funny and ironic New Year cards. Read them here:

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/...ecards_n_802839.html

woah, look at this slideshow about the difference of 10 years:

http://www.pbs.org/newshour/mu...2000-2010/index.html

have a very merry and gay 2011, my acquainted dear ones.

quote:
My dear acquaintance, it's so good to know you

For strength of your hand

That is loving and giving

And a happy new year

With love overflowing

With joy in our hearts

For the blessed new year

Raise your glass and we'll have a cheer

For us all who are gathered here

And a happy new year to all that is living

To all that is gentle, kind, and forgiving

Raise your glass and we'll have a cheer

My dear acquaintance, a happy new year

All of those who are hither and yonder

With love in our hearts

We grow fonder and fonder

Hail to those who we hold so dear

And hail to those who are gathered here

And a happy new year to all that is living

To all that is gentle, young, and forgiving

Raise your glass and we'll have a cheer

My dear acquaintance, a happy new year

Happy new year

I love the sarcasm and irony of this song, with all the cheering, spinning of helicopter rotor blades, plane taking off, police sirens, gunfighting, back-up choir ahh-ing, and more crowd cheering. The production is genius.

How are we recognizing 11.11.11? Listen to Regi's first album?

Should we do something to commemorate the occasion? (For example, Stereogum put together a tribute album of covers called 'Stroked' to commemorate The Strokes' Is this it?')
