but it is straight out of the 20's (and really does sound that way). Course the first time most of us around today heard it was in Funny Girl with Streisand as Brice.

Thanks. I missed that. I had started to watch BE, but it did not grab me. Now it has. I will catch up before the next season begins.

Good job, HBO.

And, Regina, you have entered even another world, so spectacularly, as always, that there is little more that can be said. This is so truly outstanding and yet another example of how well Regina represents the greatest artists of our time.

and the winner? Our Regina. Hands down.

love regina with all my heart, but she by no means is the winner of this competition. this is one of the most timeless songs in music history, IMO... billy holiday sings it with such pain and longing, even I (an 18 year old male) can feel connected to the subject matter.

Barbra made it an iconic broadway hit and brought the song to the attention of many.

Regina's version is a classy homage to the song, but no winner. !

When did this become a competition? haha.. It certainly doesn't top those legendary versions, but I think it stands on its own as a great cover of the song.

but yes, it is really awesome to hear a new recording from Regina. It's been so long!

Ahhh!! This is fantasmagorical! Big Grin

I love the way she sings it; it seems so unlike other songs she's sung, even a song like Lady. It's good to hear more from her! *goodsigh*
