  1. This is not popular...

While I have no authority or seniority around here, in my opinion, I don’t think every post has to be about Regina. I think what people post and how they post should foster discussion. For instance, this thread could be contributory if it were actually a real discussion of credit usage and how it affects people, but it isn’t. I mean, if you look back, obviously Regina herself didn’t come on here just to talk about herself. To me this would be a pretty boring forum if everyone was just making robotic comments about Regina. I think the whole point is to share news and stories (especially regina related), but also to have a place where we can all share ideas with each other. I feel like ranting is fine, I mean there is an entire section dedicated to it. The stix is a really friendly place, for the most part, and I don’t think anybody will have a real problem with anything you post as long as it is done tactfully. And by tactfully, I mean with good intentions, good choice of words, and also with moderation. I guess it’s really just like life, don’t be a slob, don’t be rude, and good grammar is always appreciated. But, then again, what do I know. Haha, you're awesome.
  2. HAPPY BIRTHDAY REGINA!!

As my nephew would say, "Happy Birdtay!"
  3. Six Thoughts...

    1. Brumstix is not writing a paper on Greek archaeological findings. 2. How do you spell archaeological? 3. Why does my mom think it is necessary to call early in the morning with news that Heath Ledger died? 4. I like "A Knight's Tale". 5. I can't believe I washed my car and now it's raining. 6. I love the rain.
  4. What are you listening to right now?

Yael Naim -Young Soul (my current obsession)
  5. Hey I dreamt about Regina!

I felt so weird and lonely after watching that movie... But I don't know if that's the movie you were talking about. I've had dreams about meeting Regina. But I don't think its a sign or anything, I think that's just because I have been exposed to her so much over the last year or so. I tend to have dreams about things that are running through my mind anyway... Dreams are COOL Yeah I liked I am Legend a lot, but it was some other B movie from the 70's I was watching (I don't remember what it was called or anything, trust me it wasn't worth remembering) But I agree with you, I think the reason I dream about regina sometimes has more to do with the fact that I'm thinking about her for a large chunk of the day, then because it's a sign Dreams are my favorite, mostly because if I'm dreaming, that means I'm sleeping, and sleeping is something I really enjoy
  6. Hey I dreamt about Regina!

I had a dream that there was some kind of mega disaster and a large chunk of the worlds population had been decimated (I had just watched a movie with the same kind of plot, go figure ) and I was on this truck going to a shelter with a bunch of other survivors and what do you know regina spektor is sitting next to me! So I tried to act all cool and nonchalant and we just talked about random stuff and we're actually having a pretty good time considering the mass destruction around us, when all of the sudden the super-fan that I had been suppressing reared its ugly head and I said, Can I see your hands?" And she said, "Um, okay..." and I was looking at her hands when all the sudden I blurted out, "These hands are amazing!" so she pulled her hands away from me and looked at me like I was a little off my rocker, and I woke up saying out loud "Now she's never gong to be friends with me!" At that moment I realized it was all a dream, and she wasn’t going to be friends with me anyway... It was sad...
  7. Last night I went out to dinner with my mom and I was telling her how there were only nine days left, and she said, "No eight days" and I had this look on my face like "huh?" So she said, "til Christmas, right?" Thats when I relized that I had been so looking forward to the 26th that I forgot all about Christmas...

I totally agree, at the show I went to everyone who sang did so quietly and politely, you could still hear them but it wasn't over powering. I happened to have someone behind me who had a wonderful and subdued singing voice, so I couldn't complain because she didn't bother me at all. I don't sing though, because I have the worst voice, and frankly it's sacrilegious if I even attempt to sing along with Reg.
